Sporting weekend

A sporting weekend

3 days · 2 nights · 2 shooting days

An example of a relaxed long weekend we put together for a small group of keen shots — two days on different layouts, comfortable accommodation, and everything handled door to door.

An example itinerary

One way we ran this trip. Days, disciplines and extras all flex to suit the group.

  1. Day one — Arrival

    Airport → accommodation

    • Met on arrival by a SOGO representative
    • Private group transfer to your accommodation
    • Afternoon to settle in
    • Group evening meal
  2. Day two — Shooting

    At the ground

    • Transfer to the shooting ground
    • Safety briefing with refreshments
    • Morning sporting session — disciplines to suit the group
    • Lunch and refreshments laid on
    • Afternoon session and a friendly group competition
    • Drinks and tapas before the transfer back
  3. Day three — Departure

    Accommodation → airport

    • Breakfast at leisure
    • Private group transfer to the airport

This is an example of a trip we have arranged. Every SOGO experience is designed from scratch around the group — think of this as a starting point, not a fixed package.

The brief

A group of four friends, all experienced shots, wanted a relaxed couple of days’ shooting without lifting a finger on the logistics. The priority was good ground, good food and good company — and not having to plan a thing.

How we shaped it

We built a comfortable two-night stay around two contrasting days of shooting, with private transfers throughout and a representative on hand the whole time. The pace was deliberately unhurried, with plenty of room in the evenings.

What was included

  • All shooting, with cartridges, safety equipment and ground fees
  • Two nights’ accommodation, hand-picked for the group
  • All transfers — airport, to and from the ground, and in the evenings
  • Group meals on shooting days, plus refreshments and tapas
  • Quality eye protection and outerwear provided
  • A SOGO representative looking after the trip from start to finish

Make it yours

The shape above is just one we have run. Groups commonly ask us to extend by a day, mix in a non-shooting morning, change the disciplines, or step the accommodation up or down. Tell us what you have in mind and we will design around it.
